Melbourne International Arts Festival is launched by the First Peoples of the land, and it’s only fitting that it is signed off by our newest arrivals. Our Place, Our Home celebrates the extraordinary range of people making music in Victoria today, with performers tapping musical energies from Congolese, Oromo and Cuban cultures.
Our Place, Our Home springs from Multicultural Arts Victoria’s State of Culture Music Program, which for more than a decade has uncovered the most dynamic and diverse artists in Australia and propelled them into the spotlight.
With a line-up featuring seasoned professionals and the vanguard of a new generation, it’s the perfect high note to finish the Festival.
